Identity
I am an activist, liberal, cisgendered, gay man.
That last adjective is a relatively new public adoption; I came out in 2018. Because of that, this section of the website is going to cause a certain amount of discomfiture -- I'll be discussing each of these adjectives (and others) frankly, not just from a personal perspective, but from societal one as well.
I've long held that self-determination is the pre-eminent right of the individual. I'm also realizing that it needs to be a primary responsiblity as well; you can't function effectively in society if you don't know who you are -- and society isn't going to be able to leverage your presence effectively if it doesn't know who you are either.
