A Blessed Country
There are a lot of people who need God to bless America because they themselves can’t be bothered to.
If you want to live in a blessed country, you need to work to make it that way yourself. No one else is going to do it for you. …and before you get started doing so, consider the following:
- A blessed country is one where EVERYONE – not just people like you – is safe from those who would potentially harm them physically or emotionally, even possibly yourself.
- A blessed country is one where EVERYONE – not just people like you – is free to speak their mind and state their opinion (barring inflicting physical or emotional harm) without fear of government or societal retribution.
- A blessed country is one where EVERYONE – not just people like you – is free to love who they want to, even if you yourself don’t approve.
- A blessed country is one where EVERYONE – not just people like you – is free to be who they are, even if it makes you uncomfortable.
This country (and the world, for that matter) is exclusively populated with people who do not live in your mirror, and yet who, by pretty much any Christian teaching, was created in God’s own image.
GOD’S image.
NOT yours.
A blessed country is therefore significantly bigger, broader, and far more diverse than you think it is. Are you SURE you have the faith and fortitude to live in one?
